The "Oscar" ( made by Bill Goman and Brent Hamelin ) went to Celia on the fashion show night while I got to make a thank you speech - lol! Here is the poem I wrote, thanking everyone for your support of our 20 years of doing the spring fashion show:
We’ve hit 20 years Of doing our fashion show Who knew it’d run so long Until we hit this milestone!
The first 12 years were with GBGH Foundation And the next 8 years followed With CLH Foundation.
This year, We share the wealth In contributing some funds To child and youth mental health.
We are happy to have Friends from RVH To add to our family From CLH.
It’s important to help Our community’s people in need Whether it’s living with exceptionalities Or battling mental health issues indeed.
We are all one At the end of the day Caring for each other And inspiring others to do the same.
There are so many people I’ve met So many more who have become friends That seeing them each year Makes me want to see the show never end.
Thank you sponsors, event partners, donors, staff and guests Volunteers, models, family and friends You are the best!
You are all very special Your support means so much Because it’s what you do in your actions That everyone’s hearts are touched.
So, here’s to 20 years Of joy, laughter, smiles and fun Brought to you on this catwalk Where the spotlight shines likes a very bright sun.
Thank you all As we did this together With so much caring and love We’ll effect positive change forever!
