The Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation is a non-profit corporation created to mobilize community support for Mountain Brook Schools. The Foundation is operated independently from the school system. The Foundation secures resources from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support technological advances and professional development for the staff of the school system. Your tax-deductible contribution is an investment which will allow Mountain Brook to continue to be a leader in public education.
Our Mission
Purpose. The Mission of the Foundation is to mobilize community support and resources for the academic improvement of the school system. Funds raised become part of a permanent endowment.
Goals:
- To provide financial support to meet the academic needs that are beyond the current scope and means of the school system
- To be a separate and independent organization from the school system that works in concert with the system’s goals and objectives Foundation can provide support
- To provide citizens the opportunity to make a difference in local education beyond what can be done individually
- To ensure accountability of how Foundation funds are managed and utilized
- To communicate to the community the results achieved from contributions
